megadungeon - initial thoughts
I am going to join this Megadungeon jam.

I like the idea of building something enormous. Also, the deadline is like a year away - even given my poor record with game jams, I should be able to make something by then.
I mostly (exclusively, really) run Starfinder games these days, so this will be influenced by that so that it is of some use to me. My basic concept is:
- An abandoned world due to the intensity of conflict on it.
- At ground level it is literally hell, due to technomagical weaponry used locally and from orbit that has ended up breaching gaps between planes. Trying to land elsewhere means your spaceship is torn down by giant tentacles or otherwise evocatively destroyed and you make new characters.
- However, one enormous tower block - originally owned by the super-rich - protrudes above the maelstrom. It is possible to land on the top, and go further down in search of abandoned goodies, if you dare.
- Probably don't take the lifts, at least until they've been properly sanitised and exorcised. You can. But it may not be a good idea.
