dungeon23 week 28 - stalking and doom

This is not about sewers or frogs. No more sewers or frogs. For a bit anyway. It literally says "NOT A SEWER" in red at the top of the right hand page.
This a two-parter about an island with a dark demonic secret. It's not the only dungeon involving cannibalism that I've done for D23, but that's not an uncommon theme in the more horrific end of fantasy, and it's also something I find disturbing personally.
Structurally, it's more like a horror scenario than a dungeon, in that there was a party of researchers who arrived beforehand and have come to an unpleasant end. Perhaps the PCs could be investigating what happened to them, or perhaps they are in search of the same rumoured knowledge that the previous researchers were chasing. The areas above ground are mostly peaceful, but increasingly disturbing, and there's also the sole survivor of the research team who has been possessed and is now a stealthy murdering menace. I envisaged them as constantly lurking around the edges as the PCs poke increasingly into this island retreat of the general of a demon army of antiquity - all sorts of little things that raise tension before they strike anyone foolish enough to wander off on their own.
