This level was supposed to be more of a practical mining area, or at least a control and residence one. It still has a rock museum (day 16). It's quite "trappy" for me, considering that I dislike traps, which is a sign that I rolled a lot of traps when randomly generating room content and didn't feel the level theme strongly enough to integrate them properly or ignore that result.
I like the rock museum though, even if it's a bit pointless - as well as being more interesting than just a bare room, you wonder why the fourth cabinet is completely black, and mess yourself up by opening it. I suppose if there was some need for rare samples of rock in some other part of the dungeon or elsewhere, this would be a good place to get them, too. Having resources without any particular point to them enables creative solutions.
While the trap connected to it isn't particularly interesting, I also like the shield in the observation room, which makes the point that the environment of the raw time crystal mine is impossibly dangerous, with just the unshielded light from it being able to burn you to death.
The fact that there's yet another bathroom with a water spirit in it is really a sign that I was running out of ideas - I've already done that at least once in the swamp casino.
